New to Vowise? Make one short, non-sensitive recording before configuring advanced workflows. Choose the surface that matches the job, check your microphone and recording language, then review the raw transcript and any AI-shaped output separately.

How do I start recording?
Start with a short sample. Desktop is the better starting point for longer capture and local microphone controls, Web Playground is useful for a quick account-level test, and Mobile is useful for short notes away from the desk. Before recording, confirm you are signed in, the correct microphone and language are selected, and the workflow is available to your account. After you stop, review the transcript before relying on the AI-formatted result.
What is Dictionary?
Dictionary is for stable names, brands, acronyms, project terms, and domain vocabulary that you want Vowise to recognize more consistently. Add terms from real repeated errors, use the exact spelling you want, and test the change with a small sample. Avoid filling the dictionary with generic words that do not need special handling.
What are Prompt Templates?
Prompt Templates control how a transcript is shaped after capture—for example into a summary, task list, brief, journal, or another repeatable format. Start with the closest template, name the audience and sections you need, tell it what source details to preserve, and make uncertainty visible instead of asking the model to invent missing details. Test the template on one short transcript before using it at scale.
Workflows & Integrations
How do I use the iOS Shortcut flow?
Use the current iOS Shortcut path when you want a repeatable iPhone capture or transcription workflow through Vowise’s current API/Shortcut surface. Open the current Shortcut from the Vowise Download page and follow the API Keys and Shortcuts guide. Treat API keys as secrets: do not place them in public screenshots, shared examples, or a shortcut you distribute without reviewing how the secret is handled. Platform behavior can change, so verify the current Download and Docs pages before relying on a specific action.
How do I use the Desktop Floating Ball?
The desktop floating control is a quick capture/input surface and should not be treated as the same control as the mobile floating-ball capture wheel. Desktop hotkeys, input behavior, and available actions depend on the current desktop build and settings. Install the current desktop app, then use the platform-workflow and Settings reference before relying on a specific gesture or action.
Billing & Credits
How does credit billing work?
Vowise uses a usage-based credit model:
• Standard transcription: 6 seconds = 1 credit (10 credits per minute).
• Fast mode: Short voice notes under 7 seconds are completely free.
• Signup bonus: New accounts receive 1,000 free credits upon registration.
Do credits expire?
Purchased credits do not expire as long as your account remains active and in good standing. Promotional or signup bonus credits may have designated validity periods as stated when granted.
Still stuck?
Browse all Vowise Docs for complete tutorials, troubleshoot recording and processing problems, or use the API reference for developer details. If the documented path still fails, contact Vowise Support and include the platform, app version, the step that failed, and a non-sensitive error message.
